West Virginia Division of Immunization Services

Welcome to the WV Division of Immunization Services. Our mission is to prevent and control vaccine-preventable diseases among children, adolescents and adults of West Virginia.

The West Virginia Division of Immunization Services offers the Vaccines For Children "VFC" program that provides free vaccines to eligible children, including those without health insurance coverage; all those who are enrolled in Medicaid; American Indians and Alaskan Natives; and those with health insurance plans that  do not cover vaccines and go to Federally Qualified Health Clinics or Rural Health Centers. This federally funded program is available at more than 380 provider locations across the state including all 54 local health departments. Children who receive WVCHIP also receive their vaccines at any of the VFC provider offices for free.
